FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CONFIDENTIALITY 

Therapy can involve the sharing of sensitive and personal information and so confidentiality is highly important. To protect your right to privacy, the information that you disclose to me as your therapist remains confidential which includes managing your information in line with my professional codes of conduct and GDPR.There are some limits to confidentiality including; when you give consent to share information (e.g. with other professional / health services),  when there is a serious concern about harm or safeguarding of an individual, when I am compelled to share information by law or regulation, in supervision - where I will reflect and discuss clinical work confidentially with a clinical supervisor, & record keeping where I will keep some brief notes on the assessment, themes and therapeutic work that we undertake together.

FEES AND PAYMENT 

I will provide an invoice and fees must be paid 48 hours in advance of scheduled sessions. You may choose to pay for a block of sessions in advance if you prefer. If there is a problem with payment, you must notify me as soon as possible. A 5% late fee may be incurred if payments are overdue. If payment is not made in advance of a session, the session may be cancelled. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

If for any reason you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please make me aware in good time. Missed sessions and sessions that are cancelled with less than 24 hours in advance will be charged the full fee. If I cancel a session (e.g. due to sickness), the session will be rescheduled free of charge. 

CLIENT AGREEMENT / CONTRACT

Prior to starting clinical work together, I will ask you to sign a client agreement form which will document my terms and conditions. This agreement will constitute a binding contract between us.
