DR NICOLE KROKIDIS, CONSULTANT CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
I have worked in NHS psychological services since 2003. I completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London in 2009. I have since worked as a HCPC registered clinical psychologist in London based Child and Family NHS mental health services. I continue to work part time in a CAMHS service as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
Specialist areas of interest and experience include working with children who are neurodiverse, working with complex need and risk, supporting adolescents and parents. I am trained in Adaptive Mentalisation Based Integrative Treatment (AMBIT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Comittment (ACT) Therapy for adolescents, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) approaches, positive behaviour support approaches (PBS), solution focused approaches, dyadic developmental psychotherapy (DDP), and have specialist training in the assessment of Autism (ADI & ADOS). I have significant experience of offering ADHD assessments in line with NICE guidelines. I am trained in Non Violence Resistance Parenting approaches and have run many parenting groups including mindful parenting groups.
I am committed to issues of equality, inclusion and diversity and have specialist interest in supporting young people who identify as lgbtq+. I regularly engage in training and reflective practice linked to social inequalities, trauma informed care and anti racist practice. I am supervised by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who is a specialist in child and family mental health services. I have links with colleagues from other disciplines such as Consultant and Child Adolescent Psychiatry to offer assessments as part of a wider multi-disciplinary consultation team.
