I have worked in NHS psychological services since 2003. I completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London in 2009. I have since worked as a HCPC registered clinical psychologist in London based Child and Family NHS mental health services. I continue to work part time in a CAMHS service as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist.
Specialist areas of interest and experience include working with children who are neurodiverse, working with complex need and risk, supporting adolescents and parents. I am trained in CBT, ACT for adolescents, DBT approaches, positive behaviour support approaches, solution focused approaches, dyadic developmental psychotherapy, and have specialist training in the assessment of Autism (ADI & ADOS). I am trained in Non Violence Resistance Parenting approaches and have run many parenting groups including a mindful parenting group.
I am committed to issues of equality, inclusion and diversity and have specialist interest in supporting young people who identify as lgbtq+. I regularly engage in training and reflective practice linked to social inequalities, trauma informed care and anti racist practice. I am supervised by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who is a specialist in child and family mental health services.
